Role Description:

The Technical Assistant role plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe handling, transportation, and delivery of aircraft spares, materials, tools, and equipment. The objective is to facilitate the timely completion of maintenance tasks while adhering to strict safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Safe Handling and Transportation:
Ensure proper handling and transportation of aircraft spares, materials, tools, and equipment.
Comply with company and manufacturer’s requirements, maintaining meticulous care in the process.
Deliver items to designated locations promptly and maintain accurate records.

2. Safety and Compliance:
Understand and adhere to dangerous goods and ESDS handling requirements to ensure material and personal safety.
Prevent damages and environmental exposure by ensuring proper handling and protection.

3. Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain vehicles and equipment in optimal condition, meeting established standards.
Perform Pre-Use inspections on vehicles and equipment before deployment.

4. Documentation and Recordkeeping:
Ensure accurate paperwork is attached to all collected aircraft parts.
Recognize and report any incidents or damages that may occur during handling.

5. Housekeeping and Safety:
Maintain a hazard-free, safe, and organized work environment.
Follow health and safety guidelines set by the company and relevant authorities.

6. Assistance and Collaboration:
Assist technicians with routine tasks as instructed.
Collaborate with the team to support efficient operations.

Key Performance Indicators:

Achieve a 98% on-time delivery rate for aircraft parts, tools, and equipment.
Maintain a 90% serviceability rate for ramp equipment and vehicles.
Ensure a zero-violation and incident record on the ramp.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Minimum O’ Level aggregate.
1 year of relevant experience, preferably in an airline maintenance environment (added advantage).
Valid driving license (Heavy Vehicle License preferred).
Ability to operate fork lifts, cranes, and aircraft tow tugs (added advantage).
Trade Test Certificate or equivalent from a recognized institution (added advantage).

Strong interpersonal skills.
Organized and meticulous.
Ethical and responsible.
Flexible and adaptable.
