Days after promising Nigerians that the price of petrol will be slashed to below N100 per litre, the federal government has made a complete U-turn on its assuring comment. In its statement late Thursday, March 11, the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) revealed that the new retail price for a litre of petrol for March would be between N209.61 and N212.61. The federal government said the new projection for petrol is N212 per litre.
Moreover, the PPPRA disclosed that the ex-depot price will be N206.42, while the landing cost stands at N189.61 per litre.
