Nigeria continues to record increases as the latest statistics provided by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control reveal Nigeria now has 201,798 confirmed cases.

On the 19th of September 2021, 168 new confirmed cases and 1 death was recorded in Nigeria.

To date, 201,798 cases have been confirmed, 190,563 cases have been discharged and 2,655 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

A total of 2.94 million tests have been carried out as of 19th September 2021 compared to 2.88 million tests a day earlier.

COVID-19 Case Updates – 19th September 2021

Total Number of Cases – 201,798

Total Number Discharged – 190,563

Total Deaths – 2,655

Total Tests Carried out – 2,942,578

According to the NCDC, the 168 new cases are reported from 11 states-Lagos (75), Abia (26), Niger (20), FCT (15), Benue (8), Ogun (8), Osun (7), Edo (3), Kaduna (2), Kano (2), and Ondo (2).

Meanwhile, the latest numbers bring Lagos state total confirmed cases to 75,894, followed by Abuja (21,155), Rivers (11,705), Kaduna (9,431), Plateau (9,293), Oyo (8,620), Edo (6,180), Ogun (5,351), Ondo (4,388), Akwa Ibom (4,284), Kano (4,151), Kwara (3,753), Delta (3,295), Osun (2,835), Enugu (2,675), Nasarawa (2,427), Gombe (2,343), Katsina (2,214), Anambra (2,196), Ebonyi (2,059), and Abia (1,906).

Imo State has recorded 1,802 cases, Ekiti (1,688), Bauchi (1,609), Benue (1,584), Borno (1,344), Bayelsa (1,204), Adamawa (1,155), Taraba (1,091), Niger (1,021), Sokoto (796), Jigawa (573), Cross River (559), Yobe (501), Kebbi (458), Zamfara (253), while Kogi state has recorded 5 cases only.
