FCMB offers customers loans for airtime purchase.

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has introduced a groundbreaking product known as FCMB Airtime Advance. This innovative solution enables customers to borrow funds from their bank accounts, ranging from N200 to N5,000, specifically for purchasing airtime, irrespective of their financial status.

According to a statement from FCMB, the primary objective of FCMB Airtime Advance is to offer immediate relief to customers who require airtime for phone calls, text messages, and other essential communication activities. With the introduction of this service, customers no longer need to worry about how to top up their airtime, as the bank has streamlined the process.

The unveiling of FCMB Airtime Advance marks a significant milestone for the bank. By addressing the funding gap and eliminating the inconvenience of call disconnections due to insufficient airtime, FCMB is revolutionizing the way customers manage their communication needs. This product aims to bring convenience and peace of mind to individuals, households, and businesses across the nation.

Eligible customers, including those with or without existing FastCash loans, can easily access the airtime advance by dialing FCMB’s USSD code *329# or using the loan string 32911#. The loan facility comes with flexible repayment cycles, and the repayment amount is automatically deducted from the customer’s account balance.

During the product launch event held in Lagos, Mrs Yemisi Edun, the Managing Director of FCMB, expressed the bank’s commitment to assisting as many people as possible. She highlighted how FCMB Airtime Advance would bring joy to individuals, households, and businesses nationwide by helping them meet their critical communication requirements. Edun encouraged Nigerians to take full advantage of this service while emphasizing the bank’s dedication to providing value-added digital banking solutions and an exceptional customer experience.

Mr Shamsideen Fashola, the Divisional Head of Personal Banking at FCMB, emphasized the significance of FCMB Airtime Advance, describing it as an essential product. He highlighted how this solution would eliminate the embarrassment and limitations caused by the inability to purchase airtime. FCMB’s Airtime Advance ensures that customers can stay connected and communicate without interruptions.

FCMB continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and customer-centricity by introducing products and services that enhance convenience and accessibility. With the launch of FCMB Airtime Advance, the bank aims to provide immediate relief to customers in urgent need of airtime and set new standards in digital banking in Nigeria.
