The Lekki Concession Company Limited (LCC) has announced the reopening of Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge Toll Plaza after 18 months of tolling suspension following the END SARS in the country in October 2020.
The Company disclosed this statement in a press release on Monday, 14th March 2022 that tolling will commence on April 1 2022 but commuters plying the route would not pay for the first two weeks until April 15.
The LCC’s Managing Director, Yomi Omomuwasan stated that the resumption of operations is coming after extensive consultations with key stakeholders including the Residents’ Associations, Traditional Rulers, Community leaders, Professional bodies, as well as the Lagos State Government.
Omomuwasan further mentioned that the LCC is back to serve commuters and the community better with emphasis on the fact that they have introduced a new technology and innovation to make passages at the Toll Plaza seamless and faster for commuters. He said, “We are replacing the old toll devices with upgraded ones for faster throughput at the Toll Plaza.”
He added that the new devices have been configured to synchronize with the newly upgraded toiling systems and will improve functionality while enabling a better experience at the Toll Plaza. He further explained that the devices can be installed at any LCC Customer Service Centres at the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza, Conservation Toll Plaza or the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge or can be delivered to customers preferred location. But, it can only be installed on the vehicle by LCC’s authorized personnel.

In addition to the toll collection, Mr. Yomi stated that the LCC provides essential services, including free 24/7 emergency assistance, vehicle breakdown and recovery services and security patrol to all road users along the Eti-Osa/Lekki –Epe Expressway corridor.
