Solomon Buchi, in the spirit of celebration, highlighted the joy of being rewarded for sharing opinions. He stated, “I got paid by Twitter, now known as X. I Twitter my opinions, commentators, views, and people are blessed, however, it’s also nice to be paid for it!”

Even Nigerian music sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, joined the chorus of excitement, humorously questioning, “Where dem Dey put the money? @elonmusk.”

The enthusiasm surrounding these credit alerts has extended to various content creators, all sharing their appreciation and delight at being compensated for their online contributions. Big Ayo, with an evidence of payment post, warmly greeted Elon Musk with a friendly “Good Morning.”

The launch of the Twitter Ad Revenue Program, under Elon Musk’s helm, introduces a new avenue for verified users to generate income from their content. Building upon Twitter’s existing monetization initiative, the program enables creators to earn revenue based on their content impressions. This provides an added layer of financial opportunity for those who were already generating income from content impressions.

Elon Musk’s call for users to strive for the coveted blue verification tick has resonated with the promise of substantial monthly earnings, possibly reaching thousands of dollars. Twitter’s ad revenue sharing program, which compensates creators for a share of the ad revenue generated from ads displayed in response to their posts, has been met with eagerness. U.S. creators have already begun receiving substantial payments based on their content impressions.

To qualify for this monetization program, users need to be subscribers of Twitter Blue and have amassed over 5 million tweet impressions monthly for the preceding three months. Musk confirmed that the initial round of payouts, totaling $5 million and accumulating from February onwards, will be facilitated through Stripe.

As the Twitter(X) ad revenue program gains traction, content creators in Nigeria and beyond are set to benefit from a dynamic avenue for turning their creative contributions into tangible rewards.
