The Federal Government has provided an update on its consultations regarding the potential reopening of Nigeria’s land borders. This announcement comes as reports indicate a notable drop in the prices of essential commodities such as rice and sugar in the market.

According to the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Comptroller-General, Adewale Adeniyi, discussions are ongoing with officials from neighboring countries to address the issues that led to the closure of the borders. Adeniyi revealed this information to State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, following the launch of the National Single Window Project.
