Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria continues to record increases as the latest statistics provided by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control reveal Nigeria now has 212,765 confirmed cases.

On the 8th of November 2021, 52 new confirmed cases of the COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria. To date, 212,765 cases have been confirmed, 204,261 cases have been discharged and 2,906 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

A total of 3.39 million tests have been carried out as of 8th November 2021 compared to 3.34 million tests a day earlier.

COVID-19 Case Updates – 8th November 2021

Total Number of Cases – 212,765

Total Number Discharged – 204,261

Total Deaths – 2,906

Total Tests Carried out – 3,392,457

According to the NCDC, the 52 new cases are reported from 9 States- Cross River (13), Lagos (12), Enugu (8), Plateau (7), Rivers (5), FCT (3), Bauchi (2), Abia (1) and Kano (1).

Meanwhile, the latest numbers bring Lagos state total confirmed cases to 77,908, followed by Abuja (23,366), Rivers (12,756), Kaduna (10,100), Plateau (9,836), Oyo (8,760), Edo (6,597), Ogun (5,374), Ondo (4,573), Kano (4,381), Akwa Ibom (4,348), Delta (4,144), Kwara (3,952), Osun (3,016), Enugu (2,776), Gombe (2,705), Nasarawa (2,517), Anambra (2,387), Katsina (2,226), Imo (2,130), and Ebonyi (2,062).

Abia State has recorded 2,020 cases, Benue (1,863), Ekiti (1,777), Bauchi (1,756), Borno (1,356), Taraba (1,250), Bayelsa (1,242), Adamawa (1,157), Niger (1,057), Sokoto (807), Cross River (658), Jigawa (606), Yobe (502), Kebbi (464), Zamfara (331), while Kogi state has recorded 5 cases only.
