Dangote Group, a renowned Nigerian conglomerate celebrated for its commitment to excellence, is in search of an Assistant General Manager, Finance – ICOFR to join its dynamic team in Lagos. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR), reinforcing transparency, and upholding corporate governance standards.

Implementation of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) is a must.

  • Development of a local plan for continuous ICFR monitoring and evaluation.
  • Coordination of control testing by Directors for certification in Financial reports.
  • Maintenance of a dashboard for controls that fail internal testing, ensuring swift remediation.
  • Coordination of control testing by external auditors for certification in Financial reports.
  • Generation of compensating controls for unremedied failed tests.
  • Support in performing key ICFR controls where staffing or knowledge gaps exist.
  • Proper filing and archiving of evidence for controls performed.
  • Supervision of Country ICFR officers in the region.

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Line Manager: Country Finance Controller & Pan Africa ICFR Coordinator

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications: A First Degree in Accounting or related discipline, with a Master’s Degree or MBA as an added advantage.
  • Professional Qualifications: Associate Level Membership of CIA, ICAN, or ACCA is a MUST.
  • Desired Experience and Competencies: Minimum 13 years’ Financial and Operational Audit work experience, Big 4 experience preferred, familiarity with IFRS, SAP proficiency, strong communication skills, attention to detail, analytical skills, and a good understanding of financial controls.
