ExxonMobil Announces 2023 Apprentice Training Programme.

Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU), a subsidiary of ExxonMobil Corporation, is calling for applications for its highly esteemed Apprentice Training Program (ATP) for the year 2023. The program, which spans a duration of 23 months, aims to equip young Nigerians with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue a successful career as Operations and Maintenance Technicians in the oil and gas or related industries.

With a rich history of operations in Nigeria, MPNU plays a significant role in the country’s oil and gas sector and contributes significantly to the Nigerian government’s revenue. The ATP, which has been successfully running since 1995, is organized by MPNU, an affiliate of ExxonMobil Corporation and operator of the Joint Venture with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL).

The program will be held at the MPNU Technical Training Center (TTC) located in Eket, Akwa Ibom State. It offers a comprehensive learning experience, combining classroom instruction with practical training. Participants will also have the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job attachments at operating facilities, further enhancing their skills and expertise.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded an MPNU “Certificate of Completion” in their specific field of study, which includes Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Operations.

To be eligible for the ATP, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be Nigerian citizens.
  2. Must possess a government-issued Identity card, such as a Voters Card, National ID, Valid Driver’s License, or International Passport.
  3. Must hold a National Diploma (ND) in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Petroleum Engineering Technology.
  4. Graduated with a minimum of Lower Credit and no earlier than 2019.
